Music

I just want to go through my library and lets talk about my music. I just feel the last album of so many artists suck. I purchased The Kills: Blood Pressures today and was super excited because of the single Satellite and the free download DNA- I expected more of the same and wrong! snooze fest. I want my $8.53 back. But they’re not the first to disappoint and not the last, I’m sure.
Archive:
in 2009 they did Controlling Crowds Parts I-IV. parts I-III are amazing and the Archive album with my most favorite number of tracks but Part IV was terrible. how does this happen? I’m excited for the next Archive but if IV was any indication to their future sound I’m going to be pissed.
Big Black Delta
Amazing! Haven’t even released a full LP yet but what has been released is simply amazing. I love his style of releasing free tracks every so often as to not bore the listener with them.
Bjork
Borrrring! and what the fuck was working with Timbaland on her last album? and what the fuck was that little thing she did with those people?!
Crystal Castles
once again- AMAZING! with two albums since 2008 and each one freakin brilliant I’m looking forward to more. their music paints a picture and is appropriate in almost ever situation just not all tracks. One of my TOP 5. only Crystal Castles can save us now.
Goldfrapp
ok, Seventh Tree was a boring disaster and Head First is a weirdo 80’s sometimes cool but mainly wretched creature- it’s still nice to know that they’re flexible.
How To Destroy Angels
my new fav of the TOP 5(since NIN is retired or are they?) but anyways- still Trent Reznor but with his beautiful wife and talented friend, Mariqueen Maandig and Atticus Ross. The sound is still similar to NIN but something is different. The music is a perfect partner to Mariqueens vocals. They released a 6 track EP that’s free to download or pay for the HD version and the physical CD. HTDA is due to release the full LP this fall, as they say, and I’m the most excited about this.
The Kills
I heard tracks from Midnight Bloom while working at Aeropostale and after saying I love this song and coping lyrics and Google searching them to see who the artist was and find out they were all Kills I got MB with a quick speed and I freakin love that album. but when I heard Satellite I was so very excited again. and then I bought the album today and borring. well, it doesn’t all suck I’m just really disappointed. I expected more intensity like in satellite and midnight bloom but I got good rock n roll like in No Wow- which was another let down album considering I love the song Now Wow and bought the album and yeah..
KMFDM
oh KMFDM… never boring at least. I love KMFDM. just that their lyrics and song don’t change much. but neither do much artists. I at least always check out all their new albums.
Lamb
Lamb has a new album they’re working on and it makes me nervous.
Madonna
I didn’t give Madonna the time of day until Music which is good and then American Life is awesome and no one could do that album except The Queen of Pop herself. then the one after that was GAY and the Hard Candy was ok. I’ll still say I’m excited about a new Madonna.
Marilyn Manson
I loved him when he was a dirty antichrist super rock star and I loved him when he was a white haired unisexed drug addict and all the other lil things he’s dabbled in. but I’ll say that he hasn’t amazing me since Mechanical Animals (1998).
Massive Attack
one of my TOP 5. I’ll just say that 2003 100th Window was ok and now that Daddy G is back, Heligoland is fucking brilliant. Massive Attack always excites me.
Nine Inch Nails
Top 5 number two but only because Trent had said he was done with NIN but I think he said he would be working on new NIN so let’s just say NIN and HTDA are tied. anyways- all the NIN albums are brilliant. Trent never seems to lose talent.
Peaches
Peaches!!! her earlier albums were too immature but 2010’s I Feel Cream was a nice simmer down but not too simmer. I freakin love Peaches and I want more of the mature Peaches (Peaches and mature is a contradiction but check out old Peaches albums and I Feel Cream and tell me I’m wrong).
A Perfect Circle
saw them in 2000 touring with NIN and I loved their debt album but like Tool they got weird and boring!!!! boooooooo thumbs down!
PJ Harvey
was one of my top fives but she lost that title. White Chalk and Let England Shake are major let downs. PJ used to be a rocker and now she’s putting me to sleep.
Portishead
probably my number 6 fav artist of all time. all of their albums are brilliant and each has a different sound. I can’t wait for more. I hope it goes with a darker sound because that’s what makes me love them.
Tool
SUCKS NOW
Tricky
SUCKS NOW
UNKLE
TOP 5 probably number three. each album has a new sound and each album is brilliant and with enough lil EP’s and 5 LP’s they never keep you waiting. I’m highly looking forward to the When the Night Falls- Another Night Out bonus to come out this month. that’s going to be an instant buy.

in conclusion it’s up to UNKLE and NIN and HTDA and BBD and CC to save us all! any new artists that have talent I’m taking applications to be your fan. that’s right.
anyways, this lil blog took longer than I wanted so I’m not even going to proof read. sorry
Cheers
